SUMMARY:United Guilds’ Service
DESCRIPTION:The Annual United Guild Service will take place on Friday 24 March 2023 starting at 1115.  This will be a special year for the Company\, as it will be the first time we participate as a Company.  Added to this\, every year 12 Companies are asked to process at the start of the service and it is our turn to do so. \nThis means that we will be very much at the forefront of the service. \nTickets are limited to 23\, with 9 being in the Company Row and the remainder in other parts of the Cathedral.  As this is such a special year we would really like to fill all our spaces.  There is no cost to attend the United Guild Service\, though a collection will be made during the service. \nIf you wish to attend the service and represent the Company at this great occasion please complete the form. \nClosing date is the 10 March\, though if tickets are allocated early we will have to close bookings early. \nThere is also an opportunity to join the Master for lunch following the Service at Innholders Hall.  Please use the other booking for if you wish to attend the lunch.

DESCRIPTION:For the first time\, the Company has purchased 10 tickets to attend the Lord Mayor’s Big Curry Lunch on Thursday 18th April. \nThe first Big Curry Lunch was held in 2008 and it is now an established annual event hosted at the Guildhall\, with a number of purposes: \n*To raise funds to support veterans of all the services\, both Regulars and Reservists\, and their families.\n*To raise awareness in the City community of the role of the Armed Forces of the Crown. Particularly among a younger generation of City folk.\n*To build awareness of the three national service charities that work ceaselessly to support all members of His Majesty’s Armed Forces\n*To emphasise to City workers the breadth and depth of the City’s philanthropy in support of those in society who need help in a variety of ways. \nFrom 2019 onwards the Lord Mayor’s Big Curry Lunch has aligned with the employment and employability strand of the Civic and Mayoral strategy ‘A Better City For All’\, by providing financial support for veterans to take part in two programmes to help veterans in to work. \nTo book places for you and any guests you may wish to invite – please use the form below.
