EC1A 7JN \nSimon Fanshawe OBE\, Rector of Edinburgh University\, partner in Diversity by Design \nNelarine Cornelius\,  Associate Dean\, People Culture\, and Inclusion\, Queen Mary University  \nEfforts by organisations to promote diversity and inclusion are falling into disrepute with many senior leaders because they are not delivering value to staff\, customers\, and shareholders.  Leaders generally want to tackle discrimination and open-up opportunity in their companies\, but the work has itself proved politically charged and potentially divisive. \nMany leaders want EDI to be taken off the political football pitch. It has become caught between an ‘anti-woke’ gang who want to tear the whole edifice down and self-described ‘progressives’\, who want to impose rules on their colleagues in the name of EDI that can seem dogmatic\, and (to some) frankly daft. DESCRIPTION:ALL MEMBERS OF THE COMPANY OF HR PROFESSIONALS SHOULD LOG IN VIA THE MEMBERS AREA AND BOOK PLACES FOR THE DINNER VIA THE NEW SYSTEM \n  \nThe Company of HR Professionals is delighted to be able to hold its annual Installation Dinner. \nThe venue is  Vintners Hall \nThe Date is Wednesday 9 October 2024 \nThe Court meeting will start at 1715 where the new Master and Wardens will make their Declarations.  This will be followed by presentations of Associate Member Certificates for  Leadership Programme participants and finally new Freeman and Members of the Company will make their Declarations. \nThe drinks reception will begin at 1830 and dinner at 1915. \nAs with all Company events\, this dinner is open to Members\, Freemen\, Honorary Members\, Associate Members\, Apprentices and their Guests. \nTickets are limited so please do book early to avoid disappointment. \nIn order for all arrangements to be made\, bookings will close on Sunday 29th September at midnight.  Sadly\, once final numbers have been given to caterers we are unable to offer a refund.  Therefore no refunds will be possible after Tuesday 2nd October 2024 at 0900.  Bookings may close early if the event fills so please consider booking early. \nTimings \n1700 – Declaration Ceremony\n1830 – Reception\n1915 – Dinner Call\n2230 – Carriages

DESCRIPTION:This event is now full \n  \nThe HR Company will hold a Freeman and Member Declaration Lunch at Ironmongers Hall on Monday 9 September  2024.  The Ceremony will take place at 1200 prior to Lunch at the Hall. \nIn addition\, Freemen of the Company who are attending the Freedom of the City Declaration Ceremony at the Guildhall will also join this lunch. \nThis event is open to any Member of the Company and their guests \nDate: Monday 9 September 2024 \nTimings: \nFor those making Freedom of the City Declaration at the Guildhall – 1130 (arrive at The Guildhall by 1115)\nFollowing the Freedom Ceremony\, then make your way to Ironmongers Hall for a reception and lunch.  Pease arrive at Ironmongers’ Hall for 1230 \nFor those making HR Company Freemen and Member Declarations arrive at Ironmongers’ Hall  by 1200. \nBoth groups of Declarants will join together at 1230 for a glass of sparkling wine followed by lunch \nThe cost is £70.00 per head for 3 courses.​​ A menu will be sent in advance and choices must be made by the Tuesday prior to the lunch. \nThis includes: Glass of sparkling wine\, 3 course lunch and Half a bottle of house wine (there is a £6 supplement for Beef). \nIf you would like to book a non alcoholic lunch then the cost can be obtained from the Assistant Clerk when booking.  Please contact Info@hrprofessionals.org.uk rather than booking via the website for a non alcoholic lunch. \nTo book places for you and any guests you may wish to invite – please use the form below.
